Allegiance joins forces with Maritz Research to create new company, MaritzCX

Allegiance, the South Jordan-based enterprise feedback company, was purchased by Missouri-based Maritz Research Inc., a sales and marketing service provider. The new company, MaritzCX, will be headquartered in utah and run by Allegiance CEO Carine Clark.
MaritzCX will combine the market research of Martiz Research and the Voice of Customer software technology platform of Allegiance. The merger was motivated by a gap in the industry, the companies said in a statement.
“We have enjoyed a terrific partnership with Maritz for over two years,” Clark said. “Customers kept saying we should come together more formally by integrating the technologies. So Maritz came to us early in the year and said, ‘We’d like to see if we could build this together.'”
Maritz felt that Allegiance fit their culture and style, Clark said. Because of this and their respect for Allegiance’s leadership team, they asked Clark to head up the new company.
MaritzCX will be headquartered in South Jordan, Utah, and will employ 100 employees locally and 800 other employees in 18 worldwide offices.
“To be part of a $200 million plus company, all of the sudden I have the scale that I crave,” Clark said in a phone interview. “To be with a partner that has such a wonderful pedigree, it’s super exciting. It means little Allegiance is part of a much bigger playing field.”
MaritzCX will serve 500 clients and 1 million users in 100 countries, Clark said.
The company plans on doubling their Utah office and expanding to new office space as they grow.
