Develop, troubleshoot, and correct problems for the JAVA (J2EE) applications in the development, test and production environment. Reports to Director of Technology.
Essential Functions:
§ Develop and Maintain J2EE application in the development and test environments. § Develop updates, corrections, or enhancements including Business Logic in Java & SQL as well as User Interfaces in HTML and JavaScript. § Provide analysis and recommendations for external J2EE technologies which could enhance and improve our products to meet business needs. § Direct contract developers (consultants) to provide updates, correction, or enhancements. § Work with Hosting Partner (IBM) and Operations Team on Application Deployment Issues. § Responsible for the application importing of EDI/XML files into the database. § Responsible for the application integration with other data sources (Siebel Application). § Responsible for data security and web site intrusion defenses of J2EE applications.
-It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science · Four or more years experience building, deploying, and supporting enterprise software and Java/J2EE based applications. · Proficiency with Eclipse and SVN development tools. · Must be able to develop and deploy JSPs, Servlets and EJBs using Struts2 & JPA. · Four or more years experience in Java, HTML, and JavaScript development. · Three or more years experience with J2EE Application servers (specifically JRun/JBoss). · Three or more years SQL Development experience (MS SQL Server). · Technical leadership and Excellent troubleshooting skills. · Experience with database design, performance tuning and optimization. · Experience with Microsoft Windows Advanced Server 2000/2003 Operation System. · Some knowledge and work experience in XML or EDI for integrating with trading partners. · Excellent judgment and the ability to handle escalated situations. · Knowledge and Experience in developing Secure Web Applications containing financial data.
