Description:
In this product marketing position you will be responsible for aiding in the product marketing development of the digital video security products line within the Logitech Internet Communications Business Unit (ICBU). Working closely with the Senior Global Product Marketing Manager, Product Development, and the Consumer Insights Team, you will be assisting in defining new products for the market and managing the materials needed to successfully launch the products into the associated regions.

This position requires two years of previous product marketing experience in the consumer electronics industry with previous experience in assisting in product development.

Experience in the video security and or video surveillance industry would be an asset.

This hands-on position is designed for career development into a Global Product Manager within the ICBU team.

Duties:

This position reports into the Senior Global Product Marketing Manager. You will be involved in cross-functional teams in marketing development and timely delivery of new product releases within the retail consumer and professional channels.

The Product Marketing Specialist is actively involved in aiding in the definition of the product strategy for upcoming products. He/she will be actively contributing to areas of market requirements definition, industrial design, product positioning, product packaging, and product configuration, product pricing, etc.

Your understanding of customer needs analysis and the ability to translate these needs into prioritized product requirements through the use of customer insights, research and other methodology is required

Working with the marketing insight, customer experience team and using external research sources, you will offer sales, marketing and development teams with relevant, up-to-date intelligence and insights into customers—current and prospective—technology and market trends, and competitive analyses.

Administrative duties including the creation of a weekly/monthly marketing newsletter, distributing marketing content with regional marketing teams, maintaining content on marketing databases and aiding in audited, editing and reviewing marketing and collateral materials including website content, documentation, and packaging are also your responsibility.

Qualifications:

Skills & Qualifications:
– Bachelor or Masters Degree is a must
– Your experience must include the involvement in the creation of at least one consumer electronics or consumer facing product or program. This should include involvement in the development of market requirements.
– You should be familiar with financial models including product ROIs, P&Ls and business cases to support the need for a product or product line. A willingness to learn new skills in a fast paced environment will be an asset.
– Minimum of 2 years experience in a consumer product marketing role. A strong retail consumer products background and good technical background in consumer electronics.
– Experience in such areas as web marketing, advertising, PR, channel merchandising and other forms of promotion is a must.
– Strong abilities in the area of problem solving, quantitative analysis, decision-making and multi-tasking are a must. Must posses excellent English oral and written communication skills. Other languages are a plus.
– Ability to travel to is required.
