Wavelink Appoints Wireless Pioneer to Lead Global Sales

MIDVALE, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wavelink Corporation today announced the appointment of Stephen Bemis as vice president of worldwide sales. Bemis, a pioneer in wireless data communications, has been with Wavelink since 2003, most recently as senior director of channel sales.

As vice president of worldwide sales, Bemis is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Wavelink’s sales and activities. He plans to focus on continuing and enhancing the development of Wavelink’s partnerships both domestically and internationally.

Bemis has nearly 30 years of experience in hardware and software sales and management with a focus on mobile environments. While at Telxon Corporation, since acquired by Symbol Technologies and subsequently Motorola, Bemis installed the first-ever commercial wireless data systems in 1982.

Following Telxon, Bemis was CTO and vice president of sales for MarketOrder, a start-up wireless solution company, where he was responsible for operations, product development, customer acquisition and building a sales staff. He was also executive vice president of operations at Versatile Mobile Systems, a leading mobile device integrator, where he was responsible for selling the company’s largest one-time order of more than $2 million along with annual sales in excess of $17 million.
