Broadcast International Appoints Media Industry Veteran David Van Epps as General Manager of Networks Division

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Broadcast International (OTCBB: BCST) (BI) today announced the appointment of David Van Epps as Senior Vice President and General Manager of BI Networks. Van Epps is an industry veteran with 25 years of experience developing businesses focused on media, communications and the retail customer experience.

Building on its extensive history in the creation, deployment and ongoing management of rich media content in a corporate enterprise environment, Van Epps will oversee the continued expansion of BI Networks impressive client portfolio. With many prominent global businesses among its list of clients, Broadcast International is a recognized leader in digital media management.

Van Epps will oversee the companys network solutions, enabling clients to deploy and maintain digital signage, music and messaging, corporate communications, sports web casting and distance learning networks, as well as support services such as network engineering and design, installation and maintenance. BI Networks will also showcase the capabilities of BIs breakthrough CodecSys video compression software. The CodecSys video compression software and video encoder division will continue to be led by Ron Bell.

Before joining Broadcast International, Van Epps was CEO and President of ScentAir, where he revolutionized the use of fragrance as an environmental marketing and branding tool. Prior to his tenure with ScentAir, he held several executive management positions with Muzak, the world's leading provider of music, messaging, and sound system design utilized to enhance retail environments. He is a frequent speaker on the subject of using the five senses to create dynamic business environments. Van Epps is a graduate of Ithaca College where he holds a B.S. in broadcast communications.
