Valerie Oswalt is the CEO and Board Member of Kodiak, the fast-growing food company renowned for its high-protein, whole grain breakfast products and serves as an advisory Board Member to Forward Consumer Partners and an independent Board Director for Free Rein Coffee Company. Valerie joined Kodiak from Campbell where she was EVP and President of the $4B Snacks division, which included brands such as Goldfish, Snyders-Lance and Kettle. She has deep experience in the food industry, leading both large and established brands in senior positions at Campbell, Mondelēz International and Kraft Foods, as well as at fast-growing startups. Prior to Campbells, Oswalt served as CEO of Century Snacks, a privately held trail mix and nut products company, where she led the turnaround of the business with a portfolio of more than 400 branded, private label and commercial products. Previously, she held the position of President of Mondelēz’s North American Confections business, a $1.5 billion portfolio that included well-known brands such as Oreo, Cadbury, and Sour Patch Kids. Earlier in her career, she held executive roles including President of North American Sales at Mondelēz and Vice President, Walmart at Kraft Foods. She began her career as an accountant at Deloitte in New York. Oswalt earned her doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California, her MBA in Marketing, Strategy and Finance from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management and her B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Queens College, City University of New York. She is also the proud Mom of two amazing children, Scott and Lauren, and has brought them on adventures that have taken them to nearly every continent.
